"Somewhere Sarah" is the true story of an unmarried young woman who unexpectedly found herself pregnant. But unlike many women with "inconvenient" pregnancies, she refused to have an abortion and instead she carried her baby to full term, then tearfully gave up her newborn daughter for adoption.
But that's only the beginning of the story.....
The vocals on "Somewhere Sarah" are sung by Jeannine Greenlee-Floores, the unmarried young woman who gave up her new-born daughter Sarah for adoption. Jeannine went on to become a leader in the pro-life movement, and is the Founder and Executive Director of Breath of Life Maternity Ministries, a wonderful organization that "Offers Hope Two Hearts At A Time." Jeannine has passionately served in ministry to unwed, pregnant women since founding Sarah's House in Simi Valley, CA in 1991.
Today Jeannine, her husband and their two sons live in Austin, Texas. Through Breath of Life Maternity Ministries, Jeannine presents benefit concerts that raise funds for maternity homes throughout the country.
"Somewhere Sarah" is in the Story Songs category of my songs; there are five basic categories of songs on this website: Christian Songs, Love Songs (including wedding and reception songs), Patriotic Songs, Story Songs, and my three Christian Christmas Musicals (some songs appear in multiple categories).
